Technology Sector Update for 04/06/2015: TSLA, TRIP

Technology stock were lower into Monday's opening bell, weighed along with the broader stock market.

In technology stocks news, Tesla Motors ( TSLA ) gained 3% pre-market Monday after the electric carmaker said it delivered 10,030 cars in Q1, setting a new quarterly record.

Deliveries rose 55% year-on-year and were above the company's guidance of 9,500 units. TSLA was up over 3% in recent pre-market activity, still moving in the lower half of the 52-week range of $177.22 to $291.42.

And, TripAdvisor ( TRIP ) a travel website, said late Thursday its chief financial officer Julie M.B. Bradley is resigning "to spend more time with her family and pursue other personal interests."

Bradley, who has been on the job since October 2011, will continue to serve as TripAdvisor's CFO for an interim period and will help with the recruitment and transition process to a new CFO. TRIP was down 1.8% in pre-market trade Monday.
