Technology Sector Update for 03/17/2015: JKS, FDS, RFIL

Technology stocks were mixed heading into Tuesday's opening bell, with several companies reporting quarterly earnings.

JinkoSolar ( JKS ) shares were down about 3% in pre-market trading with a 52-week range of $16.10 to $34.94 after the solar company reported its wafer factory in China caught on fire, which caused significant damage but should not affect production.

FactSet Research Systems ( FDS ) reported fiscal Q2 earnings that were shy of analysts' estimates and said its president, Philip Snow, will succeed Philip Hadley as the financial-information and analytical-applications provider's chief executive. FDS trades in a 52-week range of $102.31 to $158.29. Shares were inactive pre-market after closing Monday at $154.19.

RF Industries ( RFIL ) reported fiscal Q1 earnings of $0.01 and revenue of $6.9 million, both of which missed the Street view of $0.05 per share in earnings on $8 million in revenue, according to Thomson Reuters estimates. RFIL, a lightly traded stock, was steady before the opening bell at $4.26.
