Technology stocks declined shortly before Monday's closing bell, reversing their mid-day gains, with the shares of tech stocks in the S&P 500 losing just over 0.1% in value although the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index was hanging on to a more than 0.3% advance.

( SPI ) raced more than 52% higher on Monday after the solar energy firm said a Nasdaq hearings panel has granted its request for continued listing, conditioned on SPI Energy regain compliance with a Nasdaq rule requiring the market value of a listed company's stock exceeding $15 million for 10 consecutive trading days before May 17.

(+) Camtek ( CAMT ) rose over 6% on Monday after announcing a deal selling a 20.5% equity stake in the semiconductor inspections company to Chroma Ate Inc, a Taiwanese precision testing and measurement equipment manufacturer. Chroma Ate paid $74.3 million, or $9.50 for each of the more than 7.82 million shares and representing a 29% premium to Friday's closing price.
(-) Apple ( AAPL ) was fractionally lower in recent trading after the company recorded a 19.9% drop in iPhone shipments to China during the final three months of 2018 compared with the year-ago period, according to media reports, citing International Data Corp. The company placed fourth among five smartphone manufacturers selling in China during Q4.
(-) Real Goods Solar ( RGSE ) slid 7% lower on Monday after the photovoltaic panels manufacturer said it will delist its Class A common stock from the Nasdaq Capital Market and will begin trading on the OTCQX over-the-counter market on Feb. 15.
