LAS VEGAS - Tech industry expert Tom Coughlin, a senior member of technical professional organization IEEE, told Investor's Business Daily that the top trend at CES this year is "definitely artificial intelligence."
[ibd-display-video id=3080040 width=50 float=left autostart=true] Indeed, "AI enabled" has been one of the most buzzed-about phrases while walking the show floor, as exhibitors large and small all look to appeal to attendees of the trade show. And while there's a lot to see, many of the products on display will never actually land in consumers' hands.
"That's one of the things I like about this conference, it's that people's imaginations become free," Coughlin told Investor's Business Daily at CES. "Technology enables us to do things that were never possible before. And to some extent you say some of this stuff will never take off. A lot of it won't, but also sometimes you don't know what it is, which one is going to be the one that hits."
Amazon ( AMZN ), Google parent Alphabet ( GOOGL ), Microsoft ( MSFT ) and IBM ( IBM ) are just a few of the notable companies making advancements in artificial intelligence.
