Are you not entertained? The broad-based selling in equities in the U.S. and across global markets has created a few headaches, but it's also swept some individual stocks back to levels optimistic traders are calling intriguing in light of an economy that seems to be percolating. While the roller-coaster rides for major indexes, commodities and Treasury yields may not be over, there are all types of events on this week's calendar poised to keep stock pickers busy. Keep an eye on the action below.
Notable earnings reports: FMC Corporation ( FMC ), Diamond Offshore Drilling ( DO ) and First Data ( FDC ) on Feb. 12; PepsiCo ( PEP ), Under Armour ([[UAA]], [[UA]]), Baidu ( BIDU ), Boyd Gaming (BYD), Fossil (FOSL) and Metropolitan Life (MET) on Feb. 13; Cisco (CSCO), Global Payments (GPN), TripAdvisor (TRIP) and Applied Materials (AMAT) on Feb. 14; Arista Networks (ANET), Shake Shake (SHAK), Shopify (SHOP), CBS (CBS) and TreeHouse Foods (THS) on Feb. 15; Coca-Cola (KO), Deere (DE), V.F. Corp (VFC), J.M. Smucker (SJM) and Bloomin' Brands (BLMN) on Feb. 16.
Infrastructure: President Trump is expected to unveil a $1.5T infrasatructure package for upgrades to airports, bridges and roads on Monday. A number of companies could be influenced by the direction the infrastructure plan takes - Caterpillar (CAT), Cemex (CX), Eagle Materials (EXM), Jacobs Engineering (JEC) and U.S. Concrete (USCR) come to mind.
IPOs expected to price: Biofrontera (BFRA) and Motus GI (MOTS) on Feb. 13.

Goldman Sachs Technology and Internet Conference: A huge number of tech execs are meeting in San Francisco from Feb. 14-16. Presenters include Western Union (WU), Shutterfly (SFLY), Zillow (ZG), Stitch Fix (SFIX), Square (SQ), PayPal (PYPL), Nvidia (NVDA), Western Digital (WDC), Microsoft (MSFT), Cisco (CSCO), Twilio (TWLO), Arista Networks (ANET), Red Har (RHT), Snap (SNAP), CarGurus (CARG) and Alphabet (GOOGL). Of course, the tech confab arrives after a 7% down week for the Nasdaq, but Barclays was out with a reminder earlier this week that technology hardware and data networking stocks tend to bounce back quickly from corrections.
Credit Suisse Annual Energy Summit: Energy sector execs gather in Vail, Colorado from Feb 12-15 to talk shop. Crude oil slipped below $59 in the worst weekly decline in two years, which makes the sideline tidbits reported from this conference as interesting as the published speeches. Companies in the house include Anadarko Petroleum (APC), BP (BP), Carrizo Oil & Gas (CRZO), Chesapeake Energy (CHK), CONSOL Energy (CEIX), Dominion Energy (D), Exelon (EXC), Halliburton (HAL), Hess (HES), Murphy Oil (MUR), Phillips 66 (PSX), Royal Dutch Shell ([[RDS.A]], [[RDS.B]]), Smart Sand (SND), Suncor Energy (SU), Tidewater (TDW) and Valero Energy (VLO).

A top transportation exec from Home Depot (HD) will also be on the mike.
FDA watch: Amicus Therapeuticss (FOLD) expects to find out whether the FDA issued an accelerated approval for a review on Fabry disease drug Galafold NDA.
Media watch: Lawyers for AT&T (T) are in court next week for some more pre-trial jostling with the DOJ over the planned merger with Time Warner (TWX). AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson made the claim this week that the media combination of AT&T and TWX isn't much different than the "vertically integrated" businesses at Netflix (NFLX) and Amazon (AMZN). On the other side of the argument, Lions Gate ([[LGF.A]], [[LGF.B]]) CEO Jon Feltheimer argued that a level playing field should be kept.
Sales updates/business calls: Actinum Pharmaceuticals (ATNM), Biostage (BSTG), Navidea Biopharmaceuticals (NAVB) on Feb. 13; Progressive (PGR) and Charles Schwab (SCHW) on Feb. 14.
Credit card charge-off updates: American Express (AXP), Bank of America (BAC), Citigroup (C), Capital One (COF), Discover Financial (DFS), JPMorgan (JPM) and Synchrony Financial (SYF) on Feb. 15.
2018 New York Toy Fair: Mattel (MAT) and Hasbro (HAS) are both due to give investor updates on Feb. 16 just ahead of the huge toy industry gathering in New York City.
Analyst/investor meetings: Gartner (IT) on Feb. 14 and Emerson Electric (EMR) on Feb. 15.
Extraordinary shareholder meeting: General Cable (BGC) on Feb. 16 for a M&A vote.
Non-deal roadshow: Helios & Mattheson Analytics (HMNY) should be watched for news on Feb. 13 with a group lunch hosted in Maxim in New York including MoviePass execs. Is this the kickoff for a MoviePass IPO push? In case you missed it, MoviePass has cruised right past the 2M subscriber mark.
Chinese New Year: The seven-day period of festivities begins on Feb. 15. Expectations are high for Macau based on recent luxury hotel channel checks and the blowout 36% revenue growth month just posted. Still, after Golden Week disappointed last fall, early reports on traffic will be key for MGM Resorts (MGM), Las Vegas Sands (LVS), Melco Resorts (MLCO), SJM Holdings (SJMHF), Galaxy Entertainment (GXYEF) and Wynn Resorts (WYNN).
Barron's mentions: A search by the publication for stocks that have fallen while estimates for their earnings were boosted yielded Delta Air Lines (DAL), Apple (AAPL), Starbucks (SBUX), NextEra Energy (NEE), American Electric Power (AEP) and D.R. Horton (DRI) as potential bargains. Regulatory risk on Wells Fargo (WFC) is seen as holding back shares for a bit longer. Though on a hot streak, Twitter ( TWTR ) and Snap (SNAP) need to break out of being "advertising small fry" to stay on Wall Street's good side.
Something new: There have been a few comments made by Seeking Alpha users in prior Stocks to Watch articles that have turned out to be quick-fire gems. This week, the user that comes up with biggest percentage mover on a single stock gets a call-out in next week's edition.
