The US stock market is taking a little bit of a breather in trading today.

The S&P index is down -0.21%

The Nasdaq is down -0.17%

The Dow is down -0.05%

In Europe today most indices were also down marginally:

  • Euro Stoxx ended down -0.15%
  • UK FTSE was up +0.22%
  • German Dax closed down -0.01%
  • France's CAC was down -0.30%
  • Spain's Ibex was down -0.25%

European bond yields rose today. The 10 year rates on German bunds increased back above the 0.0% for the first time since Brexit. Here are the closing yields and changes.

  • German 10 year bund yield 0.006%, +5 basis points
  • France tenure bond yield 0.231%, +5 basis points
  • Italy 10 year bond yields 1.255%, +4 basis points
  • Portugal's 10 year bond yield 3.134%, +2 basis points
  • Spain's 10 year bond yield 1.227% +6 basis points
  • Greece is 10 year bond yield 7.841%, +2 basis points
  • UK's 10 year gilt yield 0.834%, +4 basis points

The US bond yields are also higher today. The 10 year note yield is up to 1.5990%, up 6 basis points.

  • Crude oil is up 0.48%
  • Gold is down -0.4%.
  • Silver is down -1.0%
  • CRB commodity index is down -0.66%
