Looking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the PowerShares S&P 500 Low Volatility Portfolio ( SPLV ), where 16,650,000 units were destroyed, or a 9.9% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of SPLV, in morning trading today PPL Corporation ( PPL ) is up about 0.7%, and Pinnacle West Capital Corporation ( PNW ) is up by about 0.5%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the First Trust Long/Short Equity ETF ( FTLS ), which lost 1,400,000 of its units, representing a 29.8% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior. Among the largest underlying components of FTLS, in morning trading today Apple ( AAPL ) is off about 0.1%, and JP Morgan Chase & Company (JPM) is up by about 0.6%.
