It's been hard to not get caught up with the excitement surrounding Tim Tebow and his journey to playing in the NFL, possessing unusual (and some would say lackluster) skills for the quarterback position.
Mr. Tebow has certainly provided (culminating with last week's stunning upset of the Pittsburgh Steelers in round one of the playoffs) some special moments this season and some things that have happened on the field are still not conceivable from many fans' and players' perspectives. Some are tying this to his "tebowing" gesture in which he kneels on one knee to acknowledge the Lord in a private moment, which has incredibly spawned a national epidemic of "tebowing".
As a sports fan, you can't help but love the story and as a Christian myself, I am proud of what he has done showing his love for God and for making people feel good about their lives in whatever way possible. His journey may not last long as football is a tough sport, but he is certainly leaving quite a mark on the national audience. How great is it to see the admiration of effort, rather than the nonsense that infatuates some of the society at times (Keeping up with the nonsense of celebrities, gossip, sex tapes, and the like).
In life, you never know where someone or something will touch on an emotion, but when it does, you hope to grab on to it, and maybe let it be the wind that carries you to remembering what life is about. Although the journey ended last night for Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos, the ride has been mesmerizing and something I will remember for a long time. Regardless of who or what you believe in, there are happenings all around us that can feed us the positive energy we should always be desiring.
Always get inspired to work hard and realize that dreams are there if you want to reach for them. In the meantime, I will be sure to share stories that will hopefully inspire readers' lives, not just with investing, but also with success and having a positive attitude to reach the destination you are aiming for.
I will be back with the official weekend edition post tomorrow as the markets will be closed for Martin Luther King holiday. Enjoy your Sunday everybody!
