In early trading on Tuesday, shares of Seagate Technology ( STX ) topped the list of the day's best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 4.4%. Year to date, Seagate Technology has lost about 13.0% of its value.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is XL Group ( XL ), trading down 4.7%. XL Group is showing a gain of 3.9% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Brighthouse Financial ( BHF ), trading down 3.8%, and Under Armour ( UAA ), trading up 2.7% on the day.
