In early trading on Friday, shares of Michael Kors Holdings ( KORS ) topped the list of the day's best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 2.7%. Year to date, Michael Kors Holdings registers a 16.7% gain.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is United States Steel ( X ), trading down 2.8%. United States Steel is lower by about 20.5% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Juniper Networks ( JNPR ), trading down 1.7%, and Avery Dennison ( AVY ), trading up 2.6% on the day.
