In early trading on Thursday, shares of Tripadvisor ( TRIP ) topped the list of the day's best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 16.5%. Year to date, Tripadvisor has lost about 25.7% of its value.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is Mylan ( MYL ), trading down 15.2%. Mylan is lower by about 20.7% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are International Flavors & Fragrances ( IFF ), trading down 12.4%, and Cisco Systems ( CSCO ), trading up 9.2% on the day.
