In early trading on Wednesday, shares of Range Resources ( RRC ) topped the list of the day's best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 11.2%. Year to date, Range Resources has lost about 35.5% of its value.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is Motorola Solutions ( MSI ), trading down 7.5%. Motorola Solutions is lower by about 1.6% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Cerner ( CERN ), trading down 6.9%, and Michael Kors Holdings ( KORS ), trading up 6.7% on the day.
