In early trading on Friday, shares of The Gap topped the list of the day's best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 15.7%. Year to date, The Gap registers a 6.7% gain.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is Honeywell International, trading down 8.6%. Honeywell International is showing a gain of 2.1% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are PPG Industries, trading down 8.2%, and NextEra Energy, trading up 3.4% on the day.
