In early trading on Friday, shares of Tyson Foods ( TSN ) topped the list of the day's best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 12.5%. Year to date, Tyson Foods registers a 9.6% gain.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is Hess Corp ( HES ), trading down 10.3%. Hess Corp is lower by about 19.6% looking at the year to date performance. Two other components making moves today are Salesforce.com ( CRM ), trading down 10.1%, and Symantec Corp. ( SYMC ), trading up 6.2% on the day.
