In early trading on Thursday, shares of United Rentals (URI) topped the list of the day's best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 9.3%. Year to date, United Rentals registers a 34.1% gain.
And the worst performing S&P 500 component thus far on the day is Genuine Parts (GPC), trading down 4.3%. Genuine Parts is showing a gain of 12.2% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Fortinet (FTNT), trading down 3.5%, and Snap-On (SNA), trading up 8.8% on the day.
