Government purdah to start on Friday
If you're hoping to hide from any headlines that contain the word Brexit, life may get a little easier on Friday.
It's been reported that the government blackout will start later this week and that will shut off the hot air taps from official government campaigning. It's really a time where no new local or central government legislation or announcements can be made and usually comes into effect before general elections.
Daveyboy Cameron tried to get the purdah rules watered down last year but it got blown out of the House of Commons.
That won't put pay to the countless polls that will come out or all the rest of the guff but at least it should shackle the government talking heads.
Roll on Friday ;-)
The odds for staying continue to lengthen and stand around 1/7 at worst. You can get a best price of 4/1 on a leave bet.
