Shares of AU Now Oversold

In trading on Monday, shares of AngloGold Ashanti Ltd (Symbol: AU) entered into oversold territory, changing hands as low as $9.35 per share. We define oversold territory using the Relative Strength Index, or RSI, which is a technical analysis indicator used to measure momentum on a scale of zero to 100. A stock is considered to be oversold if the RSI reading falls below 30.

According to the ETF Finder at ETF Channel, AU makes up 2.26% of the Gold Miners ETF (Symbol: GDX) which is trading lower by about 2.6% on the day Monday.
