Senate Republicans had been pushing hard to get a healthcare vote in very soon, but news came out yesterday afternoon that they will delay any vote on a new healthcare package until after the 4th of July recess. Republicans are reportedly still 5 votes short of enough to pass the healthcare package. Some Republicans in the Senate balked at the non-partisan estimate of the new package leaving 22m more Americans uninsured.
FINSUM : It seems wise to wait until after the fourth of July as Republican senators do not want to completely mirror the embarrassing failure of the House to get the vote done in March.
