Sector Update: Technology Shares Mixed Pre-Market

Technology shares were mixed in pre-market trade Friday.

In technology stocks news, BlackBerry ( BBRY ) shares were down slightly pre-market after it said late Thursday that it has signed a three-year agreement with EnStream, a mobile payments joint venture owned by Canada's wireless carriers Bell (BA.TO), Rogers (RCI, RCI-B.TO) and Telus (TU, T.TO) to provide a secure platform for transactions between banks and consumers.

EnStream will allow financial institutions to provide sensitive payment card credentials into any smartphone capable of near-field communication.

And, the Priceline Group Inc. ( PCLN) and OpenTable, Inc. ( OPEN ) said they have entered into a definitive agreement whereby The Priceline Group will acquire OpenTable for $103 per share in an all cash transaction valued at $2.6 billion.

PCLN is steady at $1,226.00 and OPEN is up 13% at $79.67, trading in a 52-week range of $59.65 to $87.48.
