Technology stocks are sliding today with shares of technology companies in the S&P 500 declining about 0.7%.
In company news, Netflix ( NFLX ) is up about 2.5% this afternoon at $313.05 a share, earlier reaching a new 52-week high of $315.88 following reports the video-streaming company may have doubled its subscriber base in Canada over the past year.
According to the (Toronto) Globe and Mail, citing surveys by the Media Technology Monitor between March 6 to April 14, about 25% of Canadians now have NFLX accounts - up from 13% during the year-ago period.
