Technology shares were generally higher in pre-market trade Tuesday.
In technology stocks news, Cheetah Mobile ( CMCM ) ADRs were up 5% at $28.32 in pre-market trade after the Chinese software maker reported profit increased by ten times, beating expectations, as revenue more than doubled.
And, CYREN ( CYRN ), which provides cloud-based security solutions, said its Q2 net loss widened, while revenue edged higher.
The non-GAAP loss per basic and diluted share was $0.04, compared breakeven in the year-ago period. Analyst estimates weren't available for earnings.
Revenues were $8.3 million up from $8.1 million in the second quarter of 2013 and shy of the $8.5 million estimate of one analyst polled on Capital IQ.
Finally, Energous Corp. ( WATT ), the developer of WattUp wire-free charging technology, has agreed to a joint collaboration with Dialog Semiconductor to develop reference designs to engage customers and further evaluate the market for wire-free power.
Shares of WATT are at $12.40 within a 52-week range of $7.76 - $16.44.
