Financial shares were plunging in pre-market session Monday ahead of U.S. growth data and as the crisis in Ukraine escalated over the weekend.
In financial stocks news, Tyco ( TYC ) signed a definitive agreement to sell Tyco Fire & Security Services Korea Co. Ltd. and its subsidiaries (ADT Caps Co., Ltd., Capstec Co., Ltd. and ADT Security Co., Ltd.) that form and operate the company's South Korean security business (ADT Korea) to The Carlyle Group ( CG ), in a cash transaction valued at approximately $1.93 billion.
The transaction is expected to close in Tyco's fiscal Q3 2014.
And, KKR & Co. L.P. ( KKR ) said after-hours Friday that Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc., a provider of technology-enabled claims and productivity management solutions, closed KKR's acquisition of the majority ownership of Sedgwick for $2.4 billion from previous investors Hellman & Friedman LLC and Stone Point Capital LLC.
