Sector Update: Energy Shares Mostly Higher as Crude Finishes Above $84 a Barrel

Energy shares are higher in late trading after crude finished solidly above $84 a barrel.

Crude oil for December delivery closed up 0.9%, or $0.79, to settle at $84.69 a barrel.

In other energy futures, heating oil was up 1.68% to $2.33 a gallon while natural gas fell 0.8%, to $3.83 per million British thermal units.

In energy ETFs, the United States Oil Fund ( USO ) is up 1.19% to $36.70. The United States Natural Gas ETF ( UNG ) is down 1.07% to $5.53.

In late-session energy news, shares of Puda Coal ( PUDA ) are still higher after it says Shanxi Puda Coal Group Co. Ltd, a 90% subsidiary of PUDA, entered into separate coal mining rights and mining assets transfer agreements with two coal mines in Pinglu County, Shanxi Province, on October 28.

Puda shares are up 11.1%, or $0.97, to $9.71.
