Sector Update: Energy Shares Lower; Crude Futures Dip

Energy shares are lower in pre-market, while crude oil futures are off as well.

Light crude oil for November delivery is trading down $1.33 at $101.68 a barrel. In other energy futures, heating oil is down $0.03 at $3.04 a gallon while natural gas is up $0.04 at $3.76 per million British thermal units.

In energy ETFs, the United States Oil Fund ( USO ) is down 0.9% at $36.55. The United States Natural Gas ETF ( UNG ) is up 0.10% at $19.18.

In other energy news, Noble Corp. ( NE ) offered a fleet status report yesterday that Wunderlich projected will result in negative earnings. The firm set a new price target of $49, down from $51. NE is flat at $37.98.
