Sector Update: Energy Shares Higher as Crude Oil Futures Recover

Energy shares were generally higher in pre-market trade Wednesday as crude oil futures were rallying.

Light, sweet crude oil for September delivery was up 0.98% at $95.41 per barrel. In other energy futures, heating oil was up 0.06% at $2.82 per gallon while natural gas was down 1.06% at $3.84 British thermal units.

In energy ETFs, the United States Oil Fund ( USO ) was up 0.09% at $34.75. The United States Natural Gas ETF ( UNG ) was down 0.28% at $21.25.

In other energy news, Petrobras ( PBR ) said it has agreed to pay Bolivian counterpart YPFB a $434 million settlement regarding a dispute over natural gas payments, Reuters reported late Tuesday.

PBR trades in a 52-week range of $10.20 to $17.97, with shares up 0.29% at $17.15.
