Energy shares were flat in pre-market trading Thursday, as crude-oil futures dropped.
Light, sweet crude oil for August delivery was down 0.3% at $102.02 per barrel. In other energy futures, heating oil was flat at $2.87 per gallon while natural gas was flat at $4.17 per million British thermal units.
In other energy news, electrical-engineering company ABB ( ABB ) received a $400 million order from Maritime Link for high-voltage direct current power transmission technology. ABB was down 1.7% at $22.64 in pre-market trading.
