Energy shares are flat in pre-market, while crude oil futures are lower.
Light, sweet crude oil for December delivery is trading down $0.12 at $94.50 a barrel. In other energy futures, heating oil is up $0.01 at $2.88 a gallon while natural gas is down $0.05 at $3.39 per million British thermal units.
In other energy news, Electricity and natural gas company Consolidated Edison, Inc. ( ED ) reports Q3 2013 adjusted EPS of $1.48, beating the Capital IQ consensus by $0.06 and last year's adjusted EPS of $1.44.
For 2013, ED sees EPS to be in the range of $3.70 to $3.80. Its previous forecast for 2013 EPS was in the range of $3.65 to $3.85. Analysts are looking for $3.74.
