Energy shares are flat ahead of the open as the July crude contract slips for the second session this week and is now below $99 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Shares of Chevron ( CVX ) are seeing early support as Bloomberg reports that the oil major's Indonesian unit sees crude output from its Sumatra block to decline to 357,000 to 360,000 barrels per day from 370,000 barrels a day this year, citing comments from that country's director general of oil and gas. Elsewhere, LDK Solar (LDK) says it and its wholly owned polysilicon manufacturing subsidiaries have consummated the $240 million investment by China Development Bank International Holdings Limited.
