Rye Patch Gold Gains 10% on Big Discovery by Big Neighbour in Nevada
Rye Patch Gold Corp (RPM.V) is ahead over 10 percent today, climbing 4 cents to 42 cents a share in brisk trade, likely getting a boost from neighbouring miner Barrick Gold Corp (ABX.TO) announcing a multi-million ounce discovery at its Cortex property in Nevada.
Rye Patch's Golden Gate Pass project is directly south of the Cortez Hills mine and today's discovery by Barrick is less than 3 kilometres of the project's northern boundary along the eastern gold trend. Rye Patch geologists have identified two main mineral trends crossing the Golden Gate Pass project area and the company last month began a 5,000-metre drill program of eight to 10 holes intending to confirm those targets.
