Passport Potash Up 25% In Morning Trade Taking It Further Away From Year Low; No Fresh News

Passport Potash Inc (PPI.V) shares are up four and a half cents this morning, to touch 22.5 cents. This is a 25% increase on yesterday's close.

The company reported no news today, however, it announced late last month that it had ERCOSPLAN to complete its initial resource estimate on its Holbrook property holdings. Passport anticipates that an initial resource estimate will be completed in Q1 2012.

Potash said that ERCOSPLAN is recognized by international financial institutions and regulators around the world for their potash exploration and development expertise. ERCOSPLAN's clients include some of the largest potash exploration and mining companies in the world.

More than 1.5 million shares have been traded so far. Passport hit a year low of 16.5 cents on December 8.
