Pacific Rubiales Energy Says Quifa Reserves Accurate, Disputes Dow Jones Story Citing 'Company' Twitter Posting

Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp. (PRE.TO) is back near its lows for the day, with shares currently trading at $20.57 each, up 25 cents, and the energy company responding to news reports its reserves in the Quifa field in Columbia were significantly larger than previously disclosed.

Dow Jones, citing a purported Twitter posting from the company, reported on the Quifa field. According to the company, however, the tweet came from a third-party service provider who forwarded a link to another news story published in October by a Colombian newspaper.

Pacific Rubiales said it has asked that the link and tweet be removed, adding that the Quifa reserves have been accurately reported.
