Orestone Releases Data from Magnetic Survey at Captain Project

Orestone Mining Corp. (ORS.V) has received and compiled the final data from a 130 line-kilometre detailed ground magnetic survey at its Captain gold-copper project in northern B.C.

The survey has outlined nine large magnetic anomalies peripheral to an interpreted central magnetic high intrusive body. Orestone said these new magnetic anomalies are very significant given that recent drilling has shown a direct correlation between magnetic dike swarms and disseminated porphyry gold mineralization.

Drilling conducted in late 2012 intercepted disseminated gold-copper mineralization associated with magnetic monzonite dyke swarms and strong potassic alteration conforming to the classic alkalic porphyry model. The data generated from the magnetic survey has defined the size and shape of the magnetic targets. Combined, Orestone said the data has defined compelling drill targets which will allow future drilling efforts to focus on the magnetite/gold association.
