Nvidia (NVDA) Stock Soaring On Q3 FY16 Earnings and Revenue Beat

Nvidia Corp (NVDA) is a company that designs, develops, and markets award-winning 3D graphics processors, processing units, and related software that set the standard for performance, quality, and features for every type of computer user. The company was founded in 1993 and is headquartered in Santa Clara, California.

Nvidia:

1. Beat earnings estimates. The company posted $0.40 EPS , surpassing our Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.25 (this number excludes $0.04 from non-recurring items).

2. Beat revenue estimates. The company saw record revenue figures of $1.305 billion , up 7% from a year ago and up 13% sequentially, beating our estimate of $1.183 billion.

3. Posted GAAP operating income of $245 million, up 15% from a year ago.

4. Noted that its quarterly cash dividend was raised 18% to $0.115 per share. The company will return $1 billion to shareholders in fiscal 2017.

5. NVDA was up $2.66, or 9.60%, to $30.37 as of 4:58 PM ET in after hours trading shortly after its earnings report was released.
