Notable option trades in equities

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with unusual option activity on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Sony (SNE): Almost 5,900 November 18 calls were bought for $0.50 to $0.55 as investors look for upside in the Japanese electronics giant. SNE rose 2.41 percent to $17.85.

SPDR Industrial Fund (XLI): An investor bought 7,193 January 50 puts for $0.97 and sold an equal number of January 45 puts for $0.26. Known as a put spread, the trade cost $0.71 and will earn about 600 percent if the fund closes at $45 or lower on expiration. XLI fell 0.04 percent to $52.76.

Caesars Entertainment (CZR): Almost 5,000 January 2016 5 puts were bought for $1.60 to $1.95 as investors look for the casino stock to keep falling next year. CZR declined 5.10 percent to $11.81.
