Notable option activity in equity names

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with unusual option activity on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

SPDR S&P Metals & Mining Fund (XME): Traders bought more than 48,000 February 15.50 calls, looking for a rally in the near term. XME rose 5.33 percent to $15.02.

Hostel Hotels & Resorts (HST): About 10,000 April 15 calls were purchased for $0.55 and $0.60 as investors positioned for upside in the lodging stock. HST rose 2.86 percent to $14.03.

Swift Transportation (SWFT): More than 6,000 February 17 calls were bought, most for $0.90 to $1.20, a bet that the trucker will rally over the next 2-1/2 weeks. SWFT rose 1 percent to $17.20. (See full post on InsideOptions Pro)
