Notable option activity in equity names

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with unusual option activity on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Calpine (CPN): Traders sold 20,000 January 13 puts sold for $0.62 and bought 20,000 March 12 puts for $0.79 contracts. Volume was below open interest in the 13s, which suggests a bearish position was rolled lower in price and out in time. CPN rose 3.80 percent to $13.37.

Yandex (YNDX): A block of 5,000 February 15 puts were bought for $1.20 as investors braced against a decline in the Russian e-commerce stock. YNDX rose 0.78 percent to $15.44.

Baxter (BAX): A trader bought 4,700 January 2017 30 calls for $8.20 and sold an equal number of January 35 calls for $2.05. Volume was below open interest at both strikes. BAX fell 0.56 percent to $36.44.
