Notable option activity in equities

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with unusual option activity on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Pandora Media (P): An investor sold 46,000 January 20 calls for $3.05 and bought a matching number of January 22 calls for $2.20. Volume was below open interest in the 20s, which indicates an existing position was rolled to the higher strike. P fell 3.19 percent to $20.32.

PowerShares DB U.S. Dollar Index (UUP): Traders bought 16,000 March 25 calls for $0.53 to $0.54, looking for upside in the greenback against a basket of currencies like the euro and Japanese yen. UUP fell 0.20 percent to $24.85.

Ethan Allen (ETH): Some 2,400 November 25 puts were bought for $0.90 to $1.50 as investors braced against a potential drop in the furniture company. ETH rose 0.07 percent to $27.88.
