Notable option activity in equities

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with unusual option activity on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Boyd Gaming (BYD): Almost 5,000 May 13 calls were sold for $0.55 to $1. Volume was below open interest, which indicates existing long positions were unwound as the casino stock rallied. BYD rose 1.67 percent to $13.42.

GrafTech (GTI): An investor bought 5,300 June 5 calls for $0.25, looking for upside in the share price. GTI fell 0.21 percent to $4.83. (See InsideOptions Pro post here )

Calpine (CPN): Some 78,000 January 19 puts were bought for $1.05 as investors braced for downside in the electrical-generation stock. CPN fell 1.40 percent to $21.51.
