In early trading on Thursday, shares of Fastenal ( FAST ) topped the list of the day's best performing components of the Nasdaq 100 index, trading up 10.2%. Year to date, Fastenal registers a 7.0% gain.
And the worst performing Nasdaq 100 component thus far on the day is Illumina ( ILMN ), trading down 4.7%. Illumina is lower by about 25.8% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Netflix ( NFLX ), trading down 4.2%, and Viacom ( VIAB ), trading up 5.6% on the day.
