In early trading on Friday, shares of Lam Research Corp ( LRCX ) topped the list of the day's best performing components of the Nasdaq 100 index, trading up 3.0%. Year to date, Lam Research Corp registers a 40.2% gain.
And the worst performing Nasdaq 100 component thus far on the day is Costco Wholesale ( COST ), trading down 0.9%. Costco Wholesale is lower by about 2.7% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Kraft Heinz ( KHC ), trading down 0.7%, and Symantec ( SYMC ), trading up 2.8% on the day.
