In early trading on Friday, shares of Tesla Motors ( TSLA ) topped the list of the day's best performing components of the Nasdaq 100 index, trading up 1.8%. Year to date, Tesla Motors registers a 42.2% gain.
And the worst performing Nasdaq 100 component thus far on the day is Avago Technologies ( AVGO ), trading down 1.2%. Avago Technologies is showing a gain of 32.3% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Vertex Pharmaceuticals ( VRTX ), trading down 1.1%, and Tractor Supply ( TSCO ), trading up 1.2% on the day.
