In early trading on Tuesday, shares of NXP Semiconductors ( NXPI ) topped the list of the day's best performing components of the Nasdaq 100 index, trading up 6.8%. Year to date, NXP Semiconductors registers a 9.8% gain.
And the worst performing Nasdaq 100 component thus far on the day is American Airlines Group ( AAL ), trading down 2.9%. American Airlines Group is lower by about 23.4% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are VimpelCom ( VIP ), trading down 2.9%, and Analog Devices ( ADI ), trading up 5.8% on the day.
