In early trading on Tuesday, shares of Lam Research topped the list of the day's best performing components of the Nasdaq 100 index, trading up 1.2%. Year to date, Lam Research registers a 56.5% gain.
And the worst performing Nasdaq 100 component thus far on the day is Wynn Resorts, trading down 3.9%. Wynn Resorts is showing a gain of 7.0% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Alexion Pharmaceuticals, trading down 1.9%, and Amazon.com, trading up 0.9% on the day.
