In early trading on Thursday, shares of Cadence Design Systems topped the list of the day's best performing components of the Nasdaq 100 index, trading up 3.7%. Year to date, Cadence Design Systems registers a 59.4% gain.
And the worst performing Nasdaq 100 component thus far on the day is MercadoLibre, trading down 0.5%. MercadoLibre is showing a gain of 99.8% looking at the year to date performance.
Two other components making moves today are Xcel Energy, trading down 0.0%, and Western Digital, trading up 3.4% on the day.
