It seems that the natural gas market came under pressure from short term weather forecasts calling for moderating temperatures and a fractional increase in US nuclear capacity. Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Ophelia has strengthened in the last 24-hours, but it is expected to stay east of the US and pose little threat to Gulf of Mexico operations. Looking ahead, market estimates for this morning's EIA storage report call for an injection in the range of 95 to 100 bcf. This compares to an increase of 73 bcf last year and average injection over the last five years of 71 bcf.
