February natural gas prices grinded higher during the initial morning hours, but remained inside of yesterday's wide-range decline. The latest weather forecasts turn toward more normal levels along the Northeastern US into the January 19th time frame, with the western half of the country expecting normal to below normal temperatures. A colder outlook on the eight to 14 day maps could be a supportive force for heat-related demand. Expectations for this morning's EIA storage data are for a rather large draw in the range of around 185 bcf, which is much larger than the same week last year and the five year average.
