Morning Copper Market Report 12/27

March copper is holding close to unchanged levels this morning, although prices remain within striking distance of yesterday's weekly high. Shanghai copper prices were stronger during overnight trading in reaction to news that profits at Chinese industrial companies during November were more than 22% above last year's levels.

News that Japanese copper exports during November were down more than 6% from last year's levels may also be weighing on prices this morning. LME Copper Stocks were at their highest levels since February 7th this morning.
