The MLP and Energy Infrastructure ETF ( MLPX ) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Monday, with over 1.1 million shares traded versus three month average volume of about 145,000. Shares of MLPX were down about 3% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Monday were Kinder Morgan ( KMI ), trading off about 4.1% with over 50.1 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Energy Transfer Partners ( ETP ), down about 4.5% on volume of over 7.6 million shares. Enlink Midstream ( ENLC ) is the component faring the best Monday, up by about 2% on the day, while Enable Midstream Partners LP ( ENBL ) is lagging other components of the MLP and Energy Infrastructure ETF, trading lower by about 8.8%.
