Monday Sector Leaders: Energy, Utilities
The best performing sector as of midday Monday is the Energy sector, up 2.3%. Within that group, XL Group Ltd (Symbol: XL) and Chesapeake Energy Corp. (Symbol: CHK) are two large stocks leading the way, showing a gain of 28.9% and 5.7%, respectively. Among energy ETFs , one ETF following the sector is the Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF (Symbol: XLE), which is up 0.8% on the day, and down 6.56% year-to-date.
