MidEast Shares Mixed, But Qatar Gets Boost to Record High From Qatar Insurance

Middle East shares were mixed, with Qatar rising to a record high, again.

Qtar's market was boosted by Qatar Insurance Company, which won a large contract to provide insurance services for the newly opened Hamad International Airport. The deal is valued at 45.97 billion riyals ($12.63 billion).

Dubai's main index jumped 2.2% to 5,327 points, Abu Dhabi firmed 0.6% to 5,035 points, Qatar added 0.8% to 13,175 points, Saudi Arabia gained 0.4% to 9,816 points, Egypt advanced 0.8% to 8,307 points, Kuwait edged up 0.2% to 7,404 points, Bahrain dipped 0.3% to 1,468 points and Oman firmed 0.2% to 6,761 points
